We specialize in: Radon Testing Radon Potential Testing Radon Occupant Exposure Testing Radon Mitigation System Installation Radon Mitigation System Repair VOC Mitigation Sump Pump Installation Sump Pump Repair New Construction Radon Moderation RADON TESTING There are two main types of professional radon testing solutions. The first type of radon assessment is called the radon potential test. This radon test is also known as the short-term radon test. This radon test is conducted in a closed environment, meaning no persons can be present in the home during the radon test or for 12-24 hours prior to the beginning of the radon potential test. Because the home needs to be vacant during this radon test, this radon test is mostly used during real estate transactions. The second type of radon test is called the occupant exposure radon test. This radon test is completed while the home or commercial property owner continues to go about their daily routine. This radon test lasts longer than 90 days and can sometimes last as long as 1 year. Many “at home” versions of occupant exposure radon tests are sold at big box retailers like Lowe’s, Home Depot or Menards and they are generally administered by the property owner and sent to a lab to have the results read and verified. RADON MITIGATION
Radon remission or radon abatement, as it is also commonly known, is the process of properly removing radon and radon decay products from within a property. The most effective way to remove radon and radon decay products is by using a radon extenuation system. Radon moderation systems are built using a series of pipes and radon reduction fans that help suck the radon gas from underneath the foundation of the property and then properly exhausting that radon gas outside of the property. The process of radon curing is actually quite simple; however, installation experience is very important. RADON SYSTEM REPAIR Many radon mitigation consultants will install new radon extenuation systems but few of them will spend the time or resources to repair an existing system. Sometimes it makes more sense to replace an existing radon mitigation system. This choice may depend on the quality of workmanship, quality of fans used, and age or condition of the existing radon relief system. However, there are certain situations where a fix of the radon remission system can save the property owner time and money. Some instances where a radon extenuation system could be salvaged through repair rather than replacement would be minor electrical issues or radon curing fan replacement. Contact us today for your FREE radon mitigation repair quote! VOC MITIGATION What does VOC mean? VOC stands for volatile organic compounds. These compounds most commonly start as chemicals or industrial pollutants that end up in the water table or soil beneath a home or commercial property. These toxic compounds and pollutants can seep through cracks in the foundation of the structure, or even through the concrete itself as concrete is porous naturally. Furthermore, the compounds penetrate the home or commercial property in the form of a vapor or gaseous emission. Our team of mitigation professionals can build a custom vapor mitigation system to help mitigate these toxic VOC’s from your home or commercial property. If air quality is important to you or you believe your home or commercial property may have vapor intrusion issues, contact our team of licensed and insured mitigation professionals today! SUMP PUMP INSTALLATION & REPAIR Sump pumps are very important because they protect your home in the event of a flood or other water intrusion. They are also extremely important in protecting you and your home from radon, mold and mildew. A properly functioning sump pump is the most effective way of diverting water from your basement or home and ultimately protecting your home from water damage. Furthermore, the sump pump draws radon gas from beneath the foundation of the property by creating a vacuum. This vacuum allows the gas to be pulled out through the piping of the radon system. Because of this importance in the radon mitigation process, we have gained expertise in the area of sump pump installation as well as sump pump repair. If your home or property needs a sump pump for radon reduction purposes or simply because you want to protect your home from water damage, we can help.
